We employed the services of Nicon Construction who assured us that the work undertaken I.e. Building a 16 sq mtr bathroom which would take 6 weeks .
It has taken up to 16 weeks .
During that time there were disruptions due to poor workmanship and his words cash strapped .
In a hope to get the work finished we paid him all monies .
The building inspector who should have been called to inspect the fontations and roof was never called upon .
We were given excuse that building inspection should never be called as engineer checks but no engineer has ever been called to check and due to bad workmanship .
We called the building inspector .
Nicon has walked off the job .
Looking back we should have checked Nic credentials .
And we strongly advise before taking on the this contractor to check .
We feel we have been taken advantage of as we are elderly and live in Capetown .
This is going to be our home next year.
We have all photographs and emails to confirm this distaster .
